tired and exhausted

I just turned the two heels of my waterfall stockings, plus reinforcing yarn added, my eyes hurt, my back aches and my wrists do strange noises, too much knitting, blahh

pictures in the morning

no music in my head, except Lime and Violet screaming and the fourth episode (is it the last one?) of the Tudors on the telly, heck - I'm multitasking ;o)

edited to add the pics:

I feel: woohooo heels turned and today after a good portion of relaxing sleep, all aches and pains are forgotton, but here we go pictures

I am sad

I am sad because I miss Bradley, just finished and already gone. I planed to make a happy Finished-Object-Post on tuesday, with happy pictures of Bradley and his lovely biggy bum - I adore his bum, its yummie ;o) - his cool turtleneck sweater, his huge antlers, the hoofs (see he's an even-toed ungulate), the ... oh there is so much to love about him, don't forget the dinky tail ^_^
well for some reason I didn't post, instead I was giving extra lessons for a friend's daughter (english, lately) and today, last private tutoring and give away of Bradley. This girl ordered him and now she has got him and I didn't even have had enough time to adore him

so I will love from afar **sigh**

ooh, and very strange, without his antlers he looks like a brown sheep, don't you think?

P.S. - before I put out the pattern for Bradley I want to make some little changes to him, very little changes, so it might take a while, not to mention there are still some other patterns that are more or less ready for publication but still need some re-reading

pop heart

the package for my coughing and sneezing manly man finally arrived today, he says he already feels better just for receiving it

:o)

and now that he got his presents I can show you what little lovely thingy I crocheted for him - - a pop art heart, so called pop heart

the pictures are of no good quality but give enough detail: it's not an average heart, with its uneven / non-balanced lovecups and its pointy ending, just a real cuty, and you can make one too, very easily because this pattern will be for free, I wrote it ready and can make a downloadable pdf as soon as I made another heart to have better pictures (also for the pattern itself, if you can't wait, convo me and I mail you the pattern pdf without new pictures of the finished pop heart)

have a great weekend, I will be off to a class reunion (ten years) but I'm not in the mood for this, not at all, I was argued into it and now I am hoping for rain (sooo badly)

**dear universe, would you please let it rain? the whole day? but not everywhere of course, only where I live, please, would you?**

on customs, coughs and spinning

I don't really know where to start because there happened so much since the weekend, so I just start at the beginning:
Coming home from work two days ago I found a note in my letter box: please come by and see your local customs, we have something for you; yipeeyeah my spinning wheel, I knew it was my mother marion, it was my only remaining "christmas gift" =) but their business hours already passed so I couldn't really do anything besides listen to poor sweetheart, who has a bad cold. And I decided to pack a little 'get well package' for him and to mail it right after being at the customs yesterday.

Finishing work a little earlier than normal I started my way into nowhere: the customs office is at a very weird end of the world:

what lay behind - hmmmm

what was in front, the little white building is the office - even more hmmm

but the customs officers were really kind people, I had to explain what this kind of spinning wheel is being used for, since it doesn't look like any spinning wheel they knew, and when they decided it was a spinning tool and I had handed them the invoice and my paypal print out, I "only" had to pay customs duties (nineteen percent - wow)
and I went home, luckily with my new toy tucked under my arm and a little worried since I still needed to mail the get well package.
Coming home I found another note in my letter box that reminded me of what date it was, oops the 17th of june, there was something important on this day: which was the appointment I had with the chimneysweepers. Only one hour left before they would be here and I had to go to the post office (get well mail) and clean up my place, when I'm sewing there so much lying on the floor, one could call it a real mess, not something you show off to strangers, so speeding up everything.
Taking a few bad snippets with my camera of one of the things I added to boyfriends package (I can't really tell you anything about it, since he's reading my blog, but it's crochet and I will add as soon as he received the package and I will add it as a free pattern, just a little thing to bring joy to the world ^-^)

coming home again, thirty minutes left before the sweeps were coming, vacuum cleaning everything, washing the dishes, and hiding mountains of yarn (not that it would embarrass me, but it was a huge untidy mountain).

when they left I fell back onto the couch, saw my customs package again and unwrapped it once more. I started a try on it and it works great (as far as my little experience can tell), but I figured I would stop and try again later, my first yarn looks more like a felted string than yarn

and besides that I didn't do much, I knitted a few more rows on my waterfall stockings, but that's really all and not worth a new picture, I don't think it looks any different that last time I showed you.

world knitting weekend . . .

. . . and I didn't knit, not even crocheted, I rested, I slept long, I rested my shoulder, seemed like I was sitting in a very draughty place, but the important thing is I rested; last week (especially thursday and friday) was tough, lots of meeting talks, I learned alot, met alot of interessting people, but it was tough and of course there wasn't only resting there also was creativity, namely: sewing!

sewing **woohoo**, I sewed knitting bags :o) new ones, I have only one to take on the road with me, a really cool one, bought on etsy a couple of month ago and it's always filled with crocheting yarn and one or the other amigurumi project. But I started on knitting again and decided I need MORE, to carry my different knitting projects, that meant also bags in different sizes, but what sizes and what shapes, I googled a bit for inspiratin and came across cosmetic bags, these round ones, I liked the shape and doodled a bit and what I ended up with looks pretty mousy, pictures will follow tomorrow (they will need a last finish)

and to not leave you without a cool picture:
